SINGER MASON JENNINGS RELEASES NEW SINGLE “SUNLIGHT”
TO BENEFIT THE SURFRIDER FOUNDATION

MODESTO, Calif. (June 22, 2009) — Furthering his commitment to the environment, singer/songwriter Mason Jennings has released a new single titled Sunlight to benefit a cause important to him and the world around us. Available on iTunes this summer, proceeds from Sunlight will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the protection of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches. Mason will be spending weekends this summer taking part in the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project, a partnership between Barefoot Wine and the Surfrider Foundation to make America’s beaches “barefoot-friendly.” Jennings is volunteering at several beach cleanups and performing for volunteers who lend a hand.

“I can’t think of a better way to share my new single than with people who support such a worthy environmental cause,” said Jennings. “I chose to release Sunlight because it’s a feel good, happy song that reminds me of being on the beach.”

Sunlight came from the recording sessions of his new record out this fall andits sales benefit Surfrider Foundation June 2 – August 30, 2009. To learn more about Mason’s involvement with the project, please visit BarefootBeachRescue.com.
