Executive Leadership Promotions Position Agency for Continued Growth at the Intersection of Communications, Culture, and Technology

NEW YORK, NY — June 11, 2026 HUNTER, an award-winning integrated marketing communications agency, today announced the promotions of Gigi García Russo to President and Michael J. Lamp to Chief Digital & Transformation Officer, marking a significant milestone in the agency’s continued evolution and commitment to innovative, future-forward communications solutions.

These appointments reflect HUNTER’s relentless dedication to delivering strategic storytelling, cultural relevance, earned media, and digital innovation, while deepening and accelerating the integration of emerging technologies to help companies and brands navigate an increasingly complex communications landscape.

Reporting to CEO Grace Leong, as President, García Russo will be responsible for driving reputation, relationships and revenue, championing HUNTER, and fueling continued growth by imagining new ways to deliver business impact for the agency’s impressive roster of clients. A staunch advocate of earned media as a trust engine and emerging media as a new frontier, Gigi will set HUNTER’s standard for excellence and drive the agency to think bigger, move faster, and continually evolve. As a fierce protector of the agency’s unique culture, she will continue to cement HUNTER as a rewarding home for the industry’s best talent and foster an environment where ideas are welcome, collaboration thrives, and people feel a strong sense of belonging and purpose.

As Chief Digital & Transformation Officer, Lamp will spearhead the agency’s continual innovation and digital transformation, setting the strategic direction for modern communications practices and overseeing the deployment of AI and emerging technology solutions across the organization. In this expanded role, he will lead the development of new technology and digital product roadmaps; create and evangelize HUNTER’s point of view on emerging tools and practices in the agentic era; lead staff and client training initiatives; and embed new approaches to earning attention and servicing clients as modern, digitally forward communications practitioners and engineers.

“These promotions recognize two exceptional leaders who have helped define HUNTER’s success and will play a critical role in shaping our future,” said Leong. “As our clients and staff navigate a world where the combination of human expertise and technology is increasingly essential, Gigi and Michael bring the leadership, vision, and innovation needed to help them succeed. Together, they represent four decades of experience building capabilities, driving growth, and delivering breakthrough work for clients. Their combined strengths in creativity, culture, communications, and digital innovation will help propel HUNTER into its next chapter.”

Gigi García Russo Named President

A driving force behind HUNTER’s growth for more than two decades, García Russo has helped transform the agency from a 30-person boutique into a 300+ person global firm. She has been instrumental in driving six consecutive years of double-digit revenue growth while expanding the agency’s integrated capabilities across earned media, influencer marketing, social, experiential, crisis management, and AI-driven solutions. In 2025, she also played a key role in launching Bobbie, HUNTER’s standalone talent and influencer marketing agency.

“I step into this role with deep gratitude for what HUNTER has built and a fierce commitment to making HUNTER’s special sauce go even further. We never take for granted that we have the privilege of crafting and amplifying stories for some of the world’s most beloved brands – it’s why we’re able to attract the best talent who are eager to have their hands in shaping great work. In this role, I’ll be relentlessly hunting for new ways to deliver client impact, evolving our capabilities, and building a home where people who love to care harder can do exactly that.”

Beyond her client work, García Russo has also helped shape HUNTER’s culture and industry leadership through initiatives including the agency’s multicultural practice and Action Group. Recognized as a PRNEWS Latinx Pioneer and PRSA-NY DEI honoree, Gigi sits on the board for the Hispanic Public Relations Association and is a member of the WIE Suite, a women’s membership community for senior executives, founders, and innovative creators.

Michael J. Lamp Named Chief Digital & Transformation Officer

Lamp joined HUNTER in 2008 and helped pioneer the agency’s earned-first digital approach, building its digital practice from a team of two into a multidisciplinary group of more than sixty specialists. In his new role, he will lead HUNTER’s strategic vision across digital innovation, organizational transformation, and emerging technologies.

“HUNTER has been my professional home for nearly 20 years during the most intense period of digital transformation in history, and I’ve had the great fortune of building and applying a modern communications toolbox alongside the most inspiring colleagues and clients. I started at HUNTER in March 2008, just nine months after the iPhone launched, and four months after Facebook’s first brand pages went live. That real-time perspective on how technology reshapes human connection has been foundational to evolving our work at HUNTER, and I’m honored to step into this expanded role at a place I believe in so deeply during such a critical moment for our industry.”

In 2025, Lamp launched HUNTER: Hi5, the agency’s AI Search Optimization solution designed to help brands build visibility and credibility across AI-powered search experiences. A recognized leader in digital communications, he has delivered breakthrough work for many of HUNTER’s leading clients, serves as an Advisor to the Ragan Center for AI Strategy, and has been recognized as one of PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 and PRSA-NY’s 15 Under 35.

Positioning HUNTER for the Future

García Russo and Lamp’s leadership, along with fellow members of HUNTER’s Executive, Specialty, and Business Leadership Teams, will help lead the next phase of growth as the agency continues to expand its integrated offerings and invest in the capabilities clients need most – from earned media and influencer marketing to AI-powered solutions and emerging channels.

Their promotions reinforce HUNTER’s commitment to building modern communications programs that help brands earn attention, build trust, and create meaningful business

impact in an increasingly fragmented media environment.
