NEW YORK — Grace Leong, CEO of Hunter Public Relations, today announced that Heddy Parker DeMaria has joined the agency’s leadership team in the newly created position of Chief Insights Officer.

A reflection of Hunter’s increased focus and investment in research and analytics to fuel marketing strategy and measure impact, DeMaria is responsible for stewarding a team of specialists providing best-in-class strategic and tactical support in consumer and market insights and program measurement across all Hunter teams and client partners.  Hunter is a leading, mid-sized consumer marketing communications firm with offices in New York and London and a strategic footprint throughout North America, serving some of America’s best known and most beloved brands.  DeMaria has been working with Hunter on a project basis since January of 2018, and now joins the agency full time.

DeMaria brings 20-plus years of experience in the consumer insight/brand strategy field working across various business models and product sectors, including Kraft Foods, Nabisco, VF Corp and Nielsen.  She has held leadership roles spanning many insight disciplines including: Consumer Insights, Brand Strategy, Innovation, Shopper Insights, Marketplace Assessment and Analytics.   She joins Hunter most recently from Pinnacle Foods, where following their IPO, she built the Consumer and Customer Insights team and developed the processes and tools needed to drive a consumer-centric growth culture.

Ms. DeMaria received her MBA in Finance from University of Pittsburgh and her Bachelor degrees (BSBA in Marketing and BAAS in Communication) from University of Delaware.

In her first public endeavor as Hunter CIO, on Wednesday, January 30, DeMaria will host a free webinar for the industry on shifting food news consumption patterns and a segmentation of the “Six Food News Consumers You Need To Know” drawn from a longitudinal comparison of five years of data from Hunter’s signature annual Food News Study.
